With Level 2 now upon us, we look forward to the challenges that will be with us from here on.
Dunedin’s sales statistics are out for April 2020 and with just 22 recorded sales they are a stark reminder that we were in lockdown for the month. Looking at the comparisons from April last year with 195 sales, this year’s result reflects the huge amount of downturn that the virus delivered to the market place.
Even with the low volume of sales we still recorded a healthy Median sale price for the month sitting at $490,000, this is up from the $430,000 in April 2019 but down on March 2020’s figure of $535,000.
Our days to sell sit at 24, a couple of days less than last year.
Now that we are able to open the office doors in Level 2 and have fewer restrictions around open homes and private appointments, we are starting to see a number of motivated buyers making inquiries and visiting our open homes. Case in point a compact brick home in Halfway Bush had 16 buyers view the home and we were able to present the Vendors with 8 offers for consideration. We have seen this hype at a number of homes we currently have for sale and have also heard of this happening throughout the market as we come out of lockdown and look to get back into the new normal.
Our office is open here at 709 Great King Street, and we welcome your visit. Otherwise, contact your preferred Cutlers Salesperson for any post-Covid-19 advice. We are all looking to kick start this new era!
